Trimming Down 2

Tuesday September 5...

Ok, I have Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and half of Today to update.

When i'd weighed myself last week I was sitting at 155 lbs. Five pounds more than I was when I was working out before Shine. Time to get really serious - i'm going on a mostly soup diet for the next week and a half.

Saturday morning Charles and I went down to Washington with Lindy and Trent and their two sons to do some shopping. I had a cup of tea and my usual slice of whole grain toast with a little bit of peanut butter for breakfast. We stopped at Starbucks on the way down and I had a skim Chai Latte (no sugar). Lunch was a green salad, and half a club sandwich (I asked for easy mayo, but it was still a bit overly wet. it had two types of cheese on it, so I pulled most of the cheese out -still had a few bites, but not much) Dinner was 4 slices of thin crust brick oven pizza and two glasses of wine (darn it!) At least the pizza had very little in the way of cheese on it (it was traditional)

Toast & Peanut Butter - 160 calories
Tea - 12 calories

Sunday started with my usual cup of tea and peanut buttered toast. I had a plate of leftover Chicken a la King on toast for lunch, shared two bowls of very lightly buttered popcorn with Charles in the afternoon, and had more Chicken a la King over rice for dinner, followed by a pack of 100 calorie crisps and about a dozen almonds. I was REALLY good about my water intake... I didn't have any tea past the first cup, and I'm quite sure I reached if not surpassed drinking a full two litres of water.

Monday I was even better. Same breakfast as usual (it has protein in it, and I love my morning tea) Lunch was a 220 calorie Strawberry Yogurt Power Bar and a bottle of water while we went hiking at Lighthouse Park. I had a small bowl of Tomato and Red Pepper soup at around 3pm for a snack, with more water. Dinner was another bowl of Tomato and Red Pepper soup. For the rest of the evening I just sipped Soda Water.

Tuesday, and back to work - first day of the School year. Weighed myself this morning at 150 lbs. Breakfast was the usual. One of the professors brought in apples from his tree, so I had part of one. We had a catered welcome party for the Undergrads, so I had a few pieces of fresh fruit, a turkey sandwich, and two cups of tea. Am currently working on a cup of water. Dinner will be more Tomato & Red Pepper soup and water.

Trimming Down

So, it's 13 days 'til I head to Montreal for the MBF, and I'd sort of been trying to drop 10 lbs since Charles went away at the beginning of July. He just got back, all trim from two months of Army PT, and i'm still feeling pudgy. Doing the costumes for Shine at the same time as having a full time job made exercising pretty much impossible, but I don't like getting on the treadmill at the best of times. I was seeing a personal trainer once a week, and noticing results in the sense that I was getting stronger, but no noticable weight difference.

So, I've decided to blog about everything I eat, and all the physical activity I have each day, so I can keep myself more accountable.

I am absolutely terrible about eating late at night... I like my nibblies pretty much right up until I go to bed, and I KNOW that's not a good thing to do. I'm going to try to keep that to a minimum.

I'm going to start my diary from yesterday, because it was not the best day, and today i'm doing much better so I don't want to look like i'm a rockstar right off the bat.

Starting with Thank Yous

Hello all you Diamond Minx fans! It's been a busy busy year so far, and I have some exciting plans on the horizon.

Before I get into what i've been doing, and what I will be doing, I wanted to stop and say thank you to some of the wonderful people without whom I couldn't do what I do. I am blessed to have such great friends and associates.

_drake from symbology.ca who designed my gorgeous website. What a talented and cool guy - more than just a techie, he's also a very talented artist and musician. The site is so much more than I hoped it would be. THANK YOU!

One of the things that defines Diamond Minx is my hair... and trust me, it takes a lot of work to maintain a head of platinum blonde ringlets. I'm terribly cruel to my hair what with regular use of hot rollers and peroxide. It's a wonder that I have any hair at all, and that's squarely thanks to...

The lady behind the color is Fatima Casadei (also known as El Camino Royale, rock Burlesque goddess). She specializes in Platinum Blonde, and I haven't let anyone else near my hair with chemicals for years.

The color may be Fatima's, but the style is all Micheal Lamb! My darling gay boyfriend who is another multi-talented person - terrific cook, talented painter, and awesome stylist! ...and he brings me flowers. I love flowers.

And last, but certainly not least - my personal roadie, stage hand, driver, and sweetheart - my boyfriend Charles, who takes it upon himself to make sure my props are set up and taken down, my bags are loaded and unloaded, and without whose driving I would not have been able to do my recent west coast US tour.

Thank you all of you. I'm grateful for the support you give me! ...and for those of you reading this, their contact info is on my "Links" page. I heartily recommend all of them. (but you can't have Charles. he's mine. ;) )
